Positive reinforcement
We build behavior on reward and clarity. It's kinder, it lasts longer, and it strengthens your bond instead of straining it.
Meet your dog's person
It's their world. We just visit it.
A lifelong dog lover and dog trainer in Surprise, Arizona — here to help dogs and their humans feel confident, calm, and cared for.
Amelia's Place is named after Amelia — a soulful grey Weimaraner who taught me that the best dog care isn't a service. It's a relationship.
For more than eighteen years I've worked with dogs of every size, breed, and personality: bouncy puppies, nervous rescues, dignified seniors, and the occasional lovable troublemaker. Somewhere along the way, friends and neighbors started asking me to watch their dogs, then to help train them — because their pups came home happier, calmer, and better behaved.
Amelia's Place grew out of that trust. I keep it deliberately small and personal, so every dog gets real attention and every family gets an honest partner in their dog's care. When your dog is with me, they're not a booking on a spreadsheet — they're a guest in my home and my heart.
Experience & approach
Great care is equal parts heart and experience. Here's what stands behind the belly rubs.
My philosophy
I believe dogs thrive on trust, routine, and communication they can understand — never fear or force.
We build behavior on reward and clarity. It's kinder, it lasts longer, and it strengthens your bond instead of straining it.
Predictability lowers stress. I keep your dog's schedule steady so they always know what comes next.
Body and mind. Every stay blends play, enrichment, and rest so your dog leaves balanced — not wound up or worn out.
