Trust & safety
Policies & safety
Great care starts with clear expectations. Here's exactly how we keep every dog safe, healthy, and happy — and what we ask of you in return.
Health & vaccination requirements
To protect every dog in our care, all dogs must be current on the following, with proof from your veterinarian on file before the first visit:
- Rabies — required by Arizona law
- DHPP — distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvovirus
- Bordetella — kennel cough (within the last 12 months)
- Canine influenza — strongly recommended
Dogs should also be on a regular flea, tick, and heartworm prevention program. Any dog showing signs of contagious illness (coughing, vomiting, diarrhea) must stay home until cleared, for the whole pack's protection.
Safety & supervision
Your dog is supervised by a real person — not just a camera. Our safety standards include:
- Small, capped group sizes so every dog is genuinely watched
- Play groups matched by size, age, energy, and play style
- Secure, fully fenced yard and a dog-proofed home environment
- Enforced rest periods to prevent over-tiredness and conflict
- Fresh water available at all times, indoors and out
- Heat-safety protocols — shade, cooling, and limited midday activity during Arizona summers
Our care commitment
Your dog is cared for by someone with 18+ years of hands-on experience and a calm, safety-first approach — small groups, close supervision, and a real home rather than a facility.
Trina is certified in Pet First Aid & CPR and keeps a well-stocked kit on hand for peace of mind.
Emergency protocol
In the rare event of a health emergency, your dog's wellbeing comes first and fast:
- Immediate first aid and assessment by a First Aid/CPR-certified handler
- We contact you (and your emergency backup) right away
- Transport to your preferred veterinarian, or the nearest 24-hour emergency clinic if time is critical
- At intake, we collect your vet's info and authorization for emergency care
Please keep your contact and vet information current. Fast decisions depend on being able to reach you.
What to bring
- Your dog's regular food, ideally portioned per meal
- Medications and supplements, with written instructions
- A bed, blanket, or towel that smells like home
- Leash and a collar or harness with current ID tags
- Any comfort item or favorite toy (optional but welcome)
Please label anything you'd like returned. We'll take good care of it.
Cancellation & deposit policy
Life happens — we keep this fair and simple:
- Boarding & daycare: cancel 48+ hours ahead for a full credit
- Holiday & peak dates: 7 days' notice required; a deposit may apply
- Training sessions: reschedule with 24 hours' notice at no charge
- No-shows and last-minute cancellations may be charged in full
Confirm exact windows, deposit amounts, and refund terms before publishing.
Behavior & conduct
Every dog is welcome to a meet & greet, and most thrive here. For the safety of the whole pack, dogs must be non-aggressive toward people. Dogs that show unsafe aggression may be redirected to private, one-on-one care instead of group settings.
Females in heat cannot attend group services, and dogs over six months in group care should be spayed or neutered. We'll always work with you to find a safe, comfortable option for your dog.
Questions about any of this?
Policies exist to keep dogs safe — not to be confusing. If anything here needs clarifying for your situation, just ask.
